It has been awhile since my last post, and this post is to ask for information for a longtime friend of mine who will be moving soon from Ft. Riley, Kansas to Michigan. She is looking into senior housing in the Tecumseh and surrounding areas. In the past she has lived in South Rockwood and Woodhaven areas, but now wants to get into senior housing in the Tecumseh area. I have emailed her the link to Michigan Housing Authority, and their attached listings. She doesn't know alot about the area other than her elderly aunt lives in Tecumseh senior housing, but it doesn't sound like the housing the aunt lives in is a safe one. Can anyone provide information about Tecumseh Michigan and surrounding area? Is Tecumseh and/or surrounding areas safe? My friend will be contacting managers from the MHA listings to ask about availablity and requirements. I don't believe the managers will, or allowed to, offer information regarding safety.
Safety, security, small town community and rental costs are concerns. Can anyone provide any information about the area, the surrounding area? Any advice?

Tecumseh is a great place to live, small community with almost everything you need. People are very friendly and yes, very safe place to be. I know of assisted living facilities including a new one that just opened between Tecumseh and Adrian. Not sure if you are looking for active senior living or assisted living. I will see what I can find.

Default tecumseh, Michigan

Thank you for quick response. She is actually looking for low-income housing in safe, secure area of Tecumseh. She has the MSHDA housing listing, and will be calling the managers of these facilities. It helps to get an overview of what the area is like before taking any action. I appreciate more information if you can provide it.

Majority of Tecumseh is very safe. If you have specific places you want input, let me know.
