WOnderful place. We have some good friends who moved there a couple of years ago. Tey were warmly welcomed and the love it. Every time we visit we comment on what a great place it is for families. It is kind of hard to get to. No real freeway access.

Not so fast........... Tecumseh is a closed community, never eager to accept those not born there or of the "finer families" of their liking. It looks like Mayberry, but more like the town in the movie "Roadhouse". I lived there for 5 years. My wife was born there. We both were glad to sell and leave. Clinton, 4 miles away, may be less glamorous (insert chuckle here), but the schools are much better, home prices cheaper, and the one Police car seems to keep general order. Tecumseh looks like Utopia...........things are seldom as they appear.

Thanks for warning me.

I dont want to move to closed area like that.

Hillsdale was friendly.

Heck where I lived now {st Joe} Michigan looked like it would be great, but living here is like living in Chicago, impersonal as heck, very unfriendly. Snobbery. I need a place with other working class people who will at least talk to you. I am going to be in disability building. Even the old people here dont talk to me.

I am hoping Three Rivers is not stuck up.

Brooklyn is pretty close to Tecumseh, and I think a much nicer place. Only thing to worry about there (or anywhere around here really) is the circus that are MIS races two weekends a year.

It's not. Most people are VERY friendly, outgoing, and eager to meet new people. It is a GREAT place to live, I wish I was still there.

I moved to Tecumseh almost five years ago. It wasn't closed to me and my family. I have the nicest neighbors! All of my kids have wonderful friends at their schools (high, middle, and elementary).

Tecumseh is like a dream come true.
