Yeah it was. The tax rate was mentioned as 3.9%. I think it was early in the year when it was released.

In fact, small businesses in some cases are booming around here. Handymen and such can hardly keep up with all the work lately, for instance.

Hi Cliffie,

When you say that handymen and such are that busy around here, do you mean a particular area or the state in general?

It's nice, Baystater, to read something positive about businesses in Michigan, although most of the people we personally know in Michigan with small businesses are construction related and are struggling right now.

We're currently living in Phoenix and trying to plot our way back to Michigan very soon. We were one of those who made good on our plans to flee the horrible Michigan construction market and economy, only to discover that the market here has its own problems.
