For the people that line in the City of Miami (meaning Miami city limits) where do you live? in a urban area or suburban? or a mixture of both? The neighborhood would be great for better knowledge and understanding. Also, where exactly (if you don't mind).

Also, for the people that live in an urban area, do you like urban or do you prefer suburban? Why?

For the people that live in a suburban area, do you prefer suburban or urban? Why?

Also, what would you like to see in Miami? Changes, addition, so on and so on.

Ever since that last thread about the metrorail I have been more and more curious about urbanization, mass transit, and everything that falls under it. I have been doing a lot of reasearch as well and found out a lot of interesting things. That's why I'm curious about this. Currently living here, and having lived in San Francisco and NYC (two of the most urban, walk friendly cities in America) I know what it is to not own a vehicle and use the mass transit and walk.

Anything else you may want to add feel free to.

I don't live in the City of Miami, but I would love to live somewhere like NYC, where having a car is an option....

Actually, I can take any type of feedback perfectly fine, I just speak my mind and see and speak it how it is. When ever I say "STOP" is because some of the things that people post here are ridicously ignorant and biased. Some are completely untrue and made up. It's so crazy what some people say that I can't believe they say it, that's why I literally say "STOP" because it's too much, making things up and posting really ignorant things, why? So, no, I can take any type of feedback but when ever I see something SO ignorant and I want to speak on it, I will. Blame that on NYC.

I lived in a downtown Miami highrise for a year. Basically you can live without a car if you also work in downtown/brickell and you get your errands done by 6 pm. You can go to get a beer or dinner later, but that's about it. You'd be surprised how quickly the downtown area empties out after about 6-6:30. Brickell gets pretty dead too except for the bars. All in all, don't hold your breath for the city center to become a real transit-oriented, walkable place.
