It hasn't been bad last weekend. I even managed to cook something outside and do some gardening. Things I never do in August.

Quite true, I have lived in Fla since 1973, and I cannot recall a nicer Summer Season than this year, 2018.

I think we have had only 2-3 days all year I considered truly hot--those days were accompanied with clear skies/no clouds and no breeze...I also have no data to back this up (too lazy to look it up) but it seems as though we have touched or exceeded 90 degrees only +/- half a dozen times this year (talking coastal/bay...I would expect the number to be higher inland)......so far, so good--watch, we just jinxed ourselves which means it will be 90/90 for a 2 week stretch later this month, though if you put any faith in the 10 day weather forecast app the high for the next 10 days is forecast to be in the upper 80's--but no 90's...I will take that.

And I can't really live much more inland than where I am at here in East Naples, I'd be under a miccosukee straw hut

This is only my second summer here, but—knock on wood—has this been a relatively quiet hurricane season to date?...I could have sworn there were 2-3 already this time last year in the Caribbean. I realize we still have 2.5 months to go before it is all clear.

Yep August and September...40 days and counting, after that, yes we remain in the Season but the possibilities curve is downhill faster than a speeding bullet.

Today was a great afternoon. There was actually a cool breeze for awhile and then the storm.

I got stuck in the Falls yesterday and Dadeland Mall today because of the storms. I can think of worse places to be stuck!
