This is why I'm trying to find a place that is kind of in the middle from our jobs. Thanks again for trying to help!
Definitely don't overlook the Gables. It also has a charm you aren't going to find anywhere in Cooper City LOL, not to mention the Miracle Mile. Seeing that you have 2000 a month to spend, I really think you can do it, and your commute won't be half bad. About 20 minutes I would say, and pretty close for your wife. I agree that spending hours on the road is not a good life. Unless you have children and can't spring for private school it's really not worth it, assuming you can handle the demographic change (although truthfully English is the first language in this area despite the large Spanish-speaking population). No, it's not as safe as Weston, but you will be fine there, and it's much less dull.

Miracle Mile = Coral Way. Miracle Mile is just a particular part of Coral Way made up of a pretty nice promenade with shops (a disproportionate amount of them bridal shops) and generally pricey restaurants. 95 S runs into US 1. Takes US 1 to 37th Ave (Douglas Rd) and turn right. Drive a mile or so until you reach an intersection with a Blockbuster video on your right. The cross-street here is Coral Way. Turn left and this part of Coral Way will be Miracle Mile.
