Hey all, I'm getting ready to start apartment hunting again after the nightmare that was my last realty agency. Any thoughts on living in brickell vs. brickell key? It's of course a little closer to the action to live on the mainland, but you really can't beat the views from brickell key....
The only thing I'm worried about is that brickell key would be full of older people, I'm in my early 20's and looking forward to meeting people around the pool, etc. any thoughts?

Brickell Key is hardly full of old people, and even the ones there are pretty cool and active.

Brickell Key is great, the only drawback, which is a small one, is the walk from the island, versus being closer to everything including the metromover on the mainland (great when pouring rain).

Brickell and 8th st is a huge drawback, especially when the drawbridge goes up. Not easy to get through on foot or by car. Will be a PITA to get to both I-95 and the Metrorail. The views, exclusivity, and walkway/exercise path all around the island are huge pluses.

I am still amazed how much they have crammed into Flagler's landfill dump from dredging the Miami river. Traffic there can be a bottleneck, and it is a terrible place to be stuck in during a disaster.
