I'll begin and end with cliffs:

2008 C300 4matic 50k miles

-Purchased car exactly 3 months ago, less than 3k miles on it since purchased(bought@48k), from a dealership in my area(not from an MB dealer, was a Passport dealership).

-Purchased car with a warranty from Fidelity, provided via the dealership.

-Two weeks ago, I began having noise emitting from the transfer case. Took the car to an MB indy, stated the transmission will need to be replaced. **note, for those wondering - Initially took the car to an official MB shop, but was told to "bring it back tomorrow", once I took it to get checkedout. So I went elsewhere

-Warranty company shipped transmission, took 6 days to arrive. MB Indy replaced transmission, but had to take it to the actual MB dealership to get reprogrammed. **HOWEVER, evidently, the warranty company sent an aftermarket transtar transmission, and the dealership cannot reprogram the tranny.

-The warranty company is insisting they sent an official transmission..

What the hell do I do

Seems like a call from the dealer to the warranty company should resolve the issue.

I agree. Sounds like it's not your problem to solve and the dealer and warranty company should be talking

The shop that installed the transmission needs to get the warranty company and the dealership on the phone to work it out. Your job is to keep on top of the shop that is overseeing the repair.
