newUHprof, i def. understand you. maybe you should take some action and get people interested, talk to the city council and stuff. HI is pretty good about parks and listening to people about them, you never know, you might be able to start something nearer your home!

Is there any truth to the fact that poi dogs when kept on a leash for too long will ultimately resort to cannibalism? I've also heard that some poi dogs are actually spam dogs cleverly disguised so that they can go about their nefarious task of starting bon fires in order to ward off wandering 36 inch long centipedes on the beaches at night? Any truth to this?? Is milk really one dollar three eighty per pint?? Is beer really,,,, uuuurrrrpppp,, scuze me,,, on tap and free at all the local beach parks as long as you're wearing a grass skirt?? just wondering......

makani nui lolo........

Totally... an active group in Hawaii Kai got a beautiful dog park set up there. I'm just not in a position right now to START such a group. I would certainly join one if anyone else could do it. Now, in about 3-4 years, if I'm granted tenure... yeah, I'm all over the community organizing at that point! Right now, I'm just trying to guarantee I get to stay here!
