I know! Actually just one bite and chewing releases a whole spectrum of scrumptious that lasts and lasts.

I'm surprised there have been no other posting hereabouts.. nothing else seems to compare and I'd be happy to hear about any others that comes close.

Just before returning to the mainland I usually pick up about 10 packages at the (Oahu, Kapahulu) Safeway and drop them off at the Post Office kiosk to send them back home... that holds me off for a few months.

Next time I'll clear off the shelves with a full cart!

Ono cookies!

White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut ...with good, strong coffee, yum...
the Kona Coffee/Macadamia Nut is hardest to find, usually sold out or only 2 or 3 bags left.

Maybe there's no mention of them because then they would be sold out and we can't get them...haha

These are the BEST cookies! The Kona Coffee flavor is out favorite. You can buy them online, we do, at www.mauicookies.com. This is the maker of the cookies, not a reseller or other store.

You send an email order & then they call you in 1-2 days for a cc number. We visit Maui about every 2 years, been there about 14 times & when we don't visit, we order online. If you haven't tried them ... you need to!

Long's has four locations on Maui that probably carry them. Actually, probably almost every major chain there, because this local, family-owned company is headquartered in Kahului.

Do you scream about other threads that recommend any other popular, local, family-owned venders?

Thanks for the tip. I was getting jealous of the folks on Maui and their yummy Cook Kwees, and would not have thought to look for these cookies on the BI. Now I will!

In related news, I find it amusing that so many people think of Long's as a local Hawaiian chain. Long's was started in 1938 in Oakland, California, grew to be a chain of over 500 stores in 6 western states plus Alaska and Hawai'i (1954), and has been part of the CVS corporation since 2008.

Someone on here didn't know that?
