I grew up in Bedford (right next to Billerica) and went through the public school system there. The town has excellent schools, but it is becoming far too pricey for younger families to move in there.

I know a few people who commute from Southern NH, and it is not worth it at all. The traffic is so bad that you will be spending 75-90 minutes in traffic each way.

Have you thought about renting for a year to get to know the area?
