Is it just my imagination, or is Billerica an extremely boring place?
I lived in a real boring place in FL not too long ago (moreso than Billerica and farther from things even), but I find in my return to Billerica that all I see is kids around and a whole suburbanite thing and a town that feels like the clock stopped 20 yrs ago and it still looks the same.
It seemed like Billerica in the 80s was better to grow up in than it is today though and ntm, it seems like some of Lowells trash moved here too. Its almost like theres no room for progression at all here despite the fact some new people come up this way.

I'll rate the town groups:

Billerica, Tewksbury, Wilmington: Shabbier with a more bluecollar mentality + boringness vibe to it.

Chelmsford, Westford, Littleton:

Still quite suburbanite, but less of the towny thing going on in these communities and less of the heavy Boston accent although maybe some ex educated Boston People from places like Newton or Brookline opposed to the latter which has Everett, Revere, Chelsea and Somerville as ex places of the residents.

Just my 2 cents. Thoughts?

What is it that you're looking for in a town or city? I think Mass if fairly diverse and if you don't like Billerica you can move to someplace like Salem, Arlington or even Waltham if you are looking for more than just a typical suburb. Billerica has Sal's pizza so it's ok in my book.
