Hello,
We are looking to buy a cottage on a swimming pond on the Cape. What can you tell me about West Yarmouth?

Well there is Long Pond in Yarmouth where you may swim.
Dennis, Dennisport may have some cottages. Have you been to the Cape?
If you had bought maybe around 10 years ago, you may off got a house
for a great price. Most people go to the beach, and yes Yarmouth does
have great beaches. Near Long Pond there are houses, and I don't recall
any cottages there. Some motel do, or were selling a tiny condo, but, I
would be cautious with that way. Home insurance also is very high on
Cape Cod. How often would you be there, also what would your price range be. You question is really to general, you also need to know if it is for summer etc., you may be better off now, that the economy is bad going
for year round, vs a cottage.

West Yarmouth is not considered one of the best areas of the Cape by any means. What is your price range and what particular areas are you interested in? The Cape is a large area with differences in each place.
