We received an offer from National Grid to convert to gas heat several weeks ago. According to their brochure, we need to pay $500 for bringing in the gas line and about $1000 for the burner, in addition to cost of installation. I contacted National Grid and spoke to one of their designed contractors, it turned out that the whole thing would cost between $8500 to $11000!
I was thinking a lot less than that, I find it hard to believe.
Can those of you who recently converted to gas heat from oil heat tell me how much you had to pay and your experience so far? Thank you!
