How about this place in Lakeville. The additions appear to be unnecessary but I doubt that's why it's not selling. That it's in Lakeville might be... 232 DOM and counting.
Big house on 4 acres and yet you are right next to a neighbor. Give me at least 50 yard and a nice line of trees between me and my closest neighbor.

The neighbor has a 6 acre lot. If you look at the assessor's map, the developer had to put in a new street to build those two homes. Perhaps the developer didn't want to build a much longer street ($$$) in order to create smaller lots. There is a brook at the back of the properties that may have wetlands restrictions in place especially since both houses have private wells and septic systems.

In the past I've had properties with 8 car length long ones....great if you have a plow guy that shows up when he's supposed to or if you take the DIY snowblower route. Otherwise driveways that fit 3-4 cars are just fine by me!
Different strokes I guess. You'd hate my house, lol. I have a huge front lawn and a long driveway. I like it because we are set back away from st, more privacy. The snow really hasn't been an issue since I've lived here. My DH loves to mow the lawn.

Or I might love your house but just hate the lot! lol That's a problem I have had a couple times in the past when looking at houses. I sometimes fall for the house and end up buying the place. Then a few years later the lot or something else about the location that I 'intentionally' overlooked starts to get on my nerves enough and I want to sell the place and move!

I would love to visit your house, but not own it.

How does it work? You are not allowed in from Nov to March?
Or there is no heating?

I'm not sure the listing just says "OCCUPANCY APRIL-OCT ONLY.". Maybe it's like a timeshare? Or maybe the whole place shuts down when it's cold?

I have no idea about this property, but my mother-in-law owns a vacation cottage in Arundel, ME and it was fairly inexpensive because occupancy is not permitted 4 months of the year. It's a gated community and you can't get in through the gate during those 4 months. I believe they shut off the water to the neighborhood during that time as well to make sure no one is living in the houses. According to her, in order for the town to agree to the development the developer had to agree to a deed restriction on the homes where they're not occupied during the winter. This was so that the town could get the benefit of the real estate taxes but not the burden of more year round residents and definitely no kids in the school system.

I used to hear that place advertised on the radio all the time, it's sort of a summer resort for families. I don't remember the name of the place. Summer Village or Summertime Village or something like that?
