That’s impossible according to this message board. All Massachusetts jobs are within the Boston/Cambridge urban core. There is no first class office space anywhere on 495.

Makes you wonder about ulterior motives when people make these inane, anti-suburban comments, doesn't it? Saying that all professional jobs will contract to the urban core is not unlike the southern confederate supporters saying the south will rise again. I can't speak for the southern suburbs of Boston, but the northern suburbs have contained a solid base of industry and/or commerce since the Civil War era.

Like I said, it's not the 80s anymore. 128 West is the one holdout.

Your posts are simply divorced from reality.

The Boston suburbs have more than 100 million square feet of commercial office space.

The suburban commercial spaces are generaly lower cost and much more flexible in terms of physical use than the urban office towers.

Didn't you know? The entire Boston metro is employed at a lab in Kendall Square. All 5 million people of it! And the fed is purposely trying to crash the economy to force people back into the office!

I honestly don't know where this poster come up with this stuff. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but whenever called out on his outlandish ideas he never bothers to defend or provide any evidence of his claims. If it's not pure trolling, I can't imagine what the motives are. Somebody invested in Cambridge real estate???

Except companies want cheap New Grads and H1Bs these days and not old white Boomers. And logistically it's easier to make it work in the city. You can make it sort of work in the burbs, maybe that's why 128 West is still going, but it's tougher.

Then why is Marlborough so expensive? You been to any of those complexes out there lately, that you discuss? They are all PACKED with H1Bs who work in the local area.

Reality just contradicts your assertions.
