I had no idea. That’s ridiculous.

And it’s currently $270 for an annual permit to use the transfer station.

South Dartmouth / 02748

7 single family homes on the market. The cheapest is a 1,200 sf 1926 3/1 cape near the New Bedford line for $420k. The most expensive is a 7,000+ sf former dairy farm barn conversion that has a couple silos for $2.5 million. When I was a little kid, I used to watch cows getting milked there through a large glass window while eating my ice cream cone.

Nah. It's the town social center. Everyone there is doing meet 'n greet. I kind of liked it when I lived there. It's totally understandable why they never went to trash pickup.

I was under the impression that the good folks of Winchester had better social outlets than that.

If I’m living in a $1M town, I expect better than average civil services.

It may sound glamorous at first, but I think that hanging out at the town dump is highly overrated - especially on a hot summer day.

I think most folks in Winchester opt for private hauling with neighbors coordinating pickup with one company.
