Massachusetts is up another 1000 cases today and 10 more people died for a total for 44. The vast majority of the deaths are 60 and up but there was a 50 year old without known preexisting conditions.

Here is a question. If you have been inside for two weeks now and haven't developed symptoms is it safe to assume you are clear?

Until you go out and get near another person. It's like any infection that you are clear of- it's only as good as your next exposure.

Anyone know if something similar is happening in Massachusetts?

For-hire nurses get big bucks to work in NYC during coronavirus outbreak

"Hundreds of nurses are pouring into New York City from across the country drawn by a desire to save lives — and paychecks reaching $100 an hour."

"Fazio said some of the nurses are tripling their salaries.

“I spoke to some nurses in the south. Their hourly rate was like $29 an hour. They’re literally saying ‘Man, I gotta do it for my own family.’ One woman said to me, ‘I’ve got a kid going to college. I’m coming!’ “ Fazio said.

To sweeten the offers, Fazio’s agency will send breakfasts and lunches to the nurses, arrange grocery deliveries and provide car services to take them to work. He offers housing stipends or puts the nurses up in hotels."

I haven’t heard of Boston being “all hands on deck” yet. My sister is an ICU nurse in Boston and they are still on regular rotation.

That can change obviously.

Last I saw, there were 250 hospitalizations in MA due to covid.

PS, I was out driving around this AM (no destination just wanted to get out) and saw a lot of NY plates on the highway.

Ive been reading that pregnant women may have to give birth without a spouse/partner in the room. I guess this has become a rule in nyc.

I went to the blue hills to walk today and I’ve never seen it so crowded. Cars everywhere.

She may. I had an accident and broke my lower right leg on Thursday afternoon and ended up having surgery that night. My husband wasn't allowed to see me again until he picked me up at the curb last night at 6.

Yikes sorry to hear that. Bad time to have to go to the hospital. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
