I read a lot of posts in regards to Cape Cod and I'm curious as to what towns people love and why. I lived in Bourne for 8 years but I never really spent much time there in regards to going out and having fun. I'm a huge fan of the Lower and Outer Cape because these areas are what I view as being true Cape Cod. The beach communities with the dunes and all. I can't say I have a favorite town but I love every town from Yarmouth on down to P-town. Hyannis is definitely fun in the summer as well. What is your favorite?

Yeah Eastham is great but never realy gets mentioned for some reason. It seems like it's a town people drive through to get to other places on the Cape. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is great. I think it goes from Dennis to Wellfleet.

Love that!

My favorite town on the Cape is a tie between Provincetown and Chatham (not that I've lived in either town...they're just so pretty). I love the coast in both of those areas...but the water in Ptown is brrrr. My favorite beach is Old Silver Beach in Falmouth...very few rocks!! It's warm too.

P-town and Chatham are both great. I don't know about you, but I really don't feel like I'm on Cape Cod until I hit Dennis. My favorite sections of the Cape are the Lower and Outer Cape. P-town is a nice place but a lot of people frown on it because it caters to the alternative lifestyle. I'll admit, there are a lot of freaky people there but Commercial Street is a neat place to check out in the summer. Chatham is one of my favorites as well. I love the Chatham Squire and the Roo Bar. I actually worked at the Seacrest Beach Resort one summer when I was in college and I never went to Old Silver Beach. Go figure!

Brewster with it's old mill and perfect Cape homes has intrigued me since childhood, and I think of West and South Dennis as the quintessential Cape. As a kid, I used to roll down the hills in front of Nobska Light in Woods Hole (we knew the lighthouse keeper), so those craggy slopes overlooking the ocean are high competition.

Great choices. All 3 are amazing. The Wellfleet Oysterfest is a blast.
