Two good options - kitchen open until 1.30 - Eastern Standard in Kenmore, and Franklin Cafe on Shawmut in S End

And the usual suspects in Chinatown

Oh, these are open until 2 am, not just 1 a.m., all nights or at least weekends, according to info listed in my search.

Not many late-night Chinatown options anymore, unless I'm not paying attention.

I will order takeout at New Golden Gate on Beach Street before the 3:45 a.m. last call for phone orders, but occasionally some patrons in there or outside down the street can seem troubled and make me uncomfortable.
