So many restaurants and so little time. Can anyone recommend a favorite sit down sea food restaurant from Dennis up to Orleans?

Kreme n Kone in West Dennis. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. Clean, casual and big. Basic fried seafood but great clams. Outdoor patio seating overlooks marsh and Swan Pond River. They have been in business for decades. More formal dining can be found at the Ebb Tide restaurant and the Ocean House in Dennisport, the latter may have ocean views. Again, two long established restaurants. The Red Pleasant Inn restaurant is also classic, not strictly seafood but I am sure their menu would include seafood.

Surely a typo, actually The Red Pheasant Inn. I'll second everything riblue has to say.

I'll also add Captain Frosty's on 6a in Dennis right by the Yarmouthport line. A seafood shack type place (similar to Kreme 'n Kone) with indoor and outdoor seating, they do a great job with fried seafood, and ice cream on site. JT's in Brewster as well, also a seafood shack with indoor and outdoor seating.

More upscale, I like Scargo Cafe in Dennis, Ocean House in Dennisport, and Cape Sea Grille in Harwichport

Straying off topic a bit, favorite places are Sesuit Harbor Cafe in Dennis (outdoor seating but on a good night it is perfect), and the Chatham Pier Fish Market (no seating, but some of the freshest and best seafood I've ever had). Not sit down places, but it would be tough to find anything better food wise.

My husband and I both got violently ill with food poisoning at the Kreme 'N Kone when we were dating. We both ordered different things (but both fried). We thought they must have used really old oil.

Our one experience with Kreme 'N Kone was... ehh. All hype. Try The Oyster Company in Dennis Port.

I second the Sesuit Harbor Cafe as the best. It is a small rinky dink place that does a HUGE business and if you go there will be a lineup. They have kids working the parking lot to tell you were to park since it is a working marina. They have 2 areas with picnic tables and umbrellas that are right on the water.
You can get seafood anywhere on Cape but few places will have you as close to the water to eat it.

If you go in the evening and it is not windy bring your own candles, (no lights outside) and a bottle of wine, it is BYOB. They also recently started a breakfast menu.

Outside of Provincetown the Sesuit harbor cafe is our new favorite place 2016.
