Visited my buddy down at the Cape yesterday. We went out for stripers but wound up getting into a lot of bluefish, which actually fight a lot harder than stripers, pound-for-pound. Unfortunately we didn't have steel leaders and wound up losing nearly all of them due to their sharp teeth, but my buddy did boat this big one - 37in, which charts say should be 18+ pounds - that's a big bluefish.

Default Extra low tide at Joppa Flats this morning

Amazing how much difference the tide makes at Joppa Flats, and apparently this was particularly high amplitude - higher highs and lower lows... taken with the cell phone, but those still come out pretty decent with current phones.

Thank you, I love walking around this area and usually have my cell phone with me at least (if not my "real" digital camera); even in familiar places there is always something new to see.

You live in one of the most picturesque areas ever. There's always a marsh or a beach or a trail or some stone walls or some haystacks or a rare bird, an old farm, historic homes, a ship...sunrise, sunset. Loving your photos!

No place I'd rather be in Autumn than New England!

Or in Woburn, there is a Golden Dome (under a threatening sky on this occasion). Formerly a gas station, now just sitting unused. I don't think anyone knows what to do with it.

I went to a whole lot of trouble to get this picture. While stopped in traffic, I pressed a button to roll the window down, and pointed my phone at the building.
