Looking for comments on school systems k-12. Are these three school systems roughly comparable? I'm not strictly talking test numbers, more as a big picture total package

For what i think/believe i think Reading and Lynnfield are more or less equal with Wakefield being a step below those two. When we were house shopping in 2013 the 1st two were on our list due to schools. the latter was not.

but that's just my two bits.

wakefield and Reading are larger (7 schools and 8 schools, respectively) than Lynnfield (2 elementary schools, 1 Middle and 1 High).

I believe that Lynnfield is best regarded, then Reading, and Wakefield third.

School and District Profiles

You can do the research there, but I would anecdotally say Wakefield is perceived as not on par with either Lynnfield or Reading.

traffic, I'm curious, what is prompting your recent questions? You recently moved from Marblehead, correct? Or are you just starting a dialogue?

Lynnfield has the best schools of these 3 but Reading and Wakefield offer more programs and municipal services.

Thanks all, good info.

Gf2020: the groton experiment is crashing and burning with the wife and our tenure might be brief. groton is beautiful it's purely a matter of city mouse country mouse and us realizing (the hard way) that we are the former.

if thats the case then Reading is MUCH more City than Lynnfield. You would be way happier there.

Cool ya that's my impression. I'm considering wakefield b/c it seems a tad less $$$$ than reading. Hence my school question I have a 2 yr old.
