Hi Folks,

Can anyone recommend a website to look for people to participate in a carpool? As a backstory, my co worker and I live in the Leominster area. We had previously taken the commuter rail into the city, but when the MBTA melted down in February, we started driving in. (He's been driving and I've been paying for parking in Downtown Boston). It's actually worked out pretty well, mainly because we've been leaving Leominster @ 5:30 AM and arriving into Boston by about 6:30 and returning home leaving from Boston about 3:00 PM, before the traffic gets bad. The only problem is that my coworker has been putting a ton of miles onto his car making the drive every day, so we are looking for one other person to join our carpool to either alternate days or weeks driving and in return, they would get free parking in Downtown Boston (Government Center). If we can't find anyone, we will have to go back to the train for April, but I wanted to find somewhere to post this to see if anyone wanted to join our group. Does anyone have a website that they would recommend for posting this? (I already posted it on Craigslist earlier today). Not sure if there are any other ride share/carpool boards that people in this area have used.

I work in Concord/Lincoln so I can't help you. However, I noticed that starting in February that the traffic along route 2 really picked up, even early in the morning. I always suspected that it was because people like yourself abandoned the MBTA and now you have provided some anecdotal evidence.
