Looking for some info about Northborough. Would it be a good place to live if...
  • I'm looking to rent, not buy? That is, are there a lot of rental properties there or is it more of a single-family home type of town?
  • I don't have kids, so school system isn't a factor for me personally.
  • I want a quiet, safe area, with some stores around? On Google maps, Northborough looks like it as a little bit of a downtown area with a CVS, library, etc.
  • I want to be within a 30-minute drive from my job, which is in West Boylston?
  • I want to be within reasonable distance of an MBTA station (on Google maps it looks like Westborough would be the closest one)?
Please let me know anything else you want about Northborough. Thanks!

There's an Avalon Communities rental community in Northborough. The town also has more shopping outside of the town center in the Wegmans shopping center. Commuting to W. Boylston in <30 minutes shouldn't be a problem from Northborough.

I've done a couple of rentals in Northborough, and kmann-sherborn is right. Avalon's a nice place. There are some other good options, too, and occasionally houses to rent pop up. Have you considered Shrewsbury and Grafton, too? They're all in the same area and have a lot to offer.
