These are all tuition rates in Mass for 2009-10 school year.

http://www.strategiesforchildren.org...FDKTuition.pdf

Average is $3,300. The range is $1,600 - $4,500

The towns that are not on the list are probably free. If you are not sure, google " 'your town' free kindergarten"

Natick has low cost after school program. Is called NED (Natick Extended Day) and is offered at Ben Hem school (Bennett Hemenway). Costs about 280 per month, plus $10 on early release days.
Also, Longfellow center offers afterschool program that is low cost, and they pick up children from school

I asked about this not too long ago. There are no websites that I can find that gives you that info unfortunately! Lowell has free full day kindergarten, and Dracut will have it starting in the fall.

I believe Norwood, MA has full day free Kindergarten. Dedham, MA has full day Kindergarten, but you have to get chosen in a lottery and pay for the 1/2 day...I'm not sure what tuition is now, but I know we paid about $3800 for my son to attend 4 years ago...

Actually go to
http://www.doe.mass.edu/research/rep...ndergarten.pdf

This report lists all MA programs with full day k (pp.6-9) and the % of the program that is full day. For example is a town has 4 kindergarten classrooms and 75% are full day, that means one of the classrooms is a half-day. Also, if you go a little further in the report it lists the tuition rates for the 2009-2010 school year-- so they should be pretty accurate.

Natick has free full-day kindergarten. Full day means the same hours that the rest of the elementary school kids go, not counting before or after school programs. The starting times range from 8:25 to 9 and the dismissal hours range from 2:25 to 3:00.

Just a small correction to tikaram's response about NED. It is only serving Ben Hem school right now. All the other elementary schools have a program at their own school that is run by the Town of Natick called ASAP. Starting in Sept. 2012, NED will end and Ben Hem will have a town program as well. All the programs run from after school until 6pm and cost about $350 a month for 5 days a week. It's around $20 extra for early release days and about $50 for vacation days.
