Is there a website that shows which cities/towns in MA offer full day kindergarten?

I know that Dedham, Weymouth and Foxboro all offer it but it is around $3,000/yr (unless you qualify for reduced tuition due to low income).

You might want to search through the Department of Early Education & Care - Executive Office of Education (http://www.eec.state.ma.us - broken link) site. You can search for early childhood programs in MA. If you call them, they might have a list. I do know that Worcester offers full-day K for all students and it is free. In addition, I believe that WOrcester os one of the very few communities in MA that has a 5 year old birthday by Aug 31 requirement. The rest are all Dec 31.

There are many communities where the cutoff is August 31st or September 1st, but it is up to the individual school district, so you should verify.

A site like that would be great help, and unfortunately, I don'tknow of one.
I know though, than in Natick public schools the cut off date is in August as well - if that matters in your case, and Ben Hem (Bennet Hemenway elementary school) offers an extended day program, for which you pay very little. About 250 per month. They also take your child if there's an early release day at school (say 12 instead of usual 2.25) and in that case you pay like 10 extra. It'll come to about 3000 a year.

Most where I am (south shore) don't offer free full day, but some have started pay programs like Weymouth and Braintree, but they're also limited enrollment. Off hand I know that Quincy and Brockton do, although Quincy's has been in jeopardy- and that Brockton's cutoff for kindy is also sometime after September 1st which seems unheard of in this area. My friend's son has a fall birthday and he's in full time kindergarten this year. You'd probably have to look up up town by town- if you're interested in moving somewhere- or if you're doing it for research I would contact the DOE and see if you could get a list.
