Just get on the Mass Pike and cruise right into town. Shouldn't be terrible....

The train is much easier than driving. You never know how much traffic you'll hit on the Pike. I used to take the Southboro train to Back Bay. It's about an hour on the "express" train. It's long but I found it so much less stressful than driving. There was plenty of parking, except once or twice during a snowstorm it was hard to find a spot, but I usually took the last morning commuter train.

Driving the pike during rush hour is never an easy commute! It was backed up from Boston to Worcester bumper to bumper from 4:00 on yesterday. You may be able to avoid some traffic by leaving very early in the morning, but you will most likely have a difficult time avoiding it on the way home. As kmann-sherbon, said the train is definitely the way to go!
