I was thinking about taking a daytrip to Frederick/Hagerstown. I'll be driving in from the Morgantown area. I'm fairly familiar with the area, but was looking for some things to do. I'll probably visit Antietam, but is there anything worth seeing in Frederick?

I like walking around downtown Frederick and seeing the shops, restaurants. The community bridge is neat with its artwork. We always stop at McCutcheon's (sp?) for jellies and relishes and at Great Stuff By Paul for home decor stuff. Pick a day when the weather is warm and you can walk around.

Frederick - Downtown is your best bet for Frederick. Lots of shops and places to eat. Good place to talk a walk and stroll. Monocacy Battlefield also? Civil War medicine museum downtown.

Hagerstown has a nice art museum, kids museum, the outlets, Antietam. A few good restaurants downtown, but not nearly as many as Frederick.
