Hi everyone,
Any information you can give me on the Parkville area would be greatly appreciated. You know the usual, Crime, schools and the neighborhood. We are looking to move to the area soon, so please help us soon. Thanks in advance.

Well, this reply is a little late, but here it is for future reference. I've lived in Parkville for 2 months now (off of Joppa Road). It's a really nice area, seems a lot safer than most of Baltimore, although it's right on the outskirts of the city. Tons of shopping and restaurants close by. I commute to the city and my job is about 7 miles away. The frustrating thing is, I have to go through 25 stop lights on the way to work. It could take anywhere from 20-35 minutes. Crime supposedly isn't too bad compared to the city, but I (or my neighbors) haven't had any major problems. The area doesn't have a dangerous feel at all. There's supposed to be a huge drug problem in the schools, but I have no children so can't comment. My advice to anyone moving here: try your commute before you move. Personally, I plan to move to the city as soon as my lease is up.
