What side of Hagerstown is your job on? I would suggest Middletown or Myersville in Frederick County. They have separate elementary schools but both feed into Middletown Middle (grade 6-8) and High School. But if your job is on the West or North side of Hagerstown it would increase your commute by a little bit

Here are two recent threads about Hagerstown that may be of help to you as well.

As a general rule, giving your housing budget helps posters suggest options too.

Smithsburg, Williamsport, Boonsboro, the northern and eastern parts of Hagerstown. Greencastle PA as well. If schools are important I would stick to PA and MD, but that is just my opinion.

If you find a house and know the school district someone could give you more information.

Please SOMEONE help me with this decision! I want to move to Hagerstown Maryland. I found a duplex on Alexander Street OFF Craig's list. Can anyone tell me how's the area because I have a very low tolerance to crime and don't wanna move somewhere I don't no about with my two little boys. I'm also big on education so I'm looking for a blue ribbon district. Places like stores school, parks, in walking distance. Pleases help. Thanks
