I just drove it from Georgia Avenue to I-95. Well really, the whole trip was from Rockville (a bit south of Twinbrook Pkwy) to College Park (a couple miles south of the Route 1 interchange). I think it was a total of 25-30 minutes from my starting point in Rockville to I-95.

So it's pretty darn fast! And the highway is oh so nice... the road is smooth as silk and everything just looks so damn nice. Even the landscaping is commendable. I'm not sure I'd pay the full toll just to get from Rockville to College Park quickly, but I'm sure if I was commuting from, say, Laurel to Gaithersburg it'd be most helpful.

Gaithersburg to Jessup this AM took 30 minutes. Going to take the old route home today to compare the times, but I think we saved a lot of time, not to mention reduced stress, because we arrived early when we thought we would be late!

Is it toll free all the way up to I95 from I370 or only the new portion?

I dropped going the alternative route because I had to be back in Gaithersburg. Left at 4:15 pm and got here at 4:45 pm.
