Nor"eastah, that would be great if you came along right behind us! Of course, we are from Maine anyway and made the BIG mistake of moving away nearly 4 years ago. Big, BIG mistake!!! We will rent for the short-term and then start thinking about another house. I would like to build brand new this time, but I also have the "save" gene and have a difficult time resisting those poor old houses that have been abused and neglected for so many years.
If there is anything I can do to help your Bangor area search, let me know! I'd love to have more friends closer than "the end of the earth" (Washington County... )

You've got it! As soon as I know more, I will definitely be back. What will be our biggest challenge is finding a place to live, sight unseen. We got lucky when we moved out here but there are an abundance of really nice apartment complexes here. Not so in Bangor, or at least there never used to be.

Hopefully I'll be back in touch sooner rather than later

have camera, will travel! I can do "drive-by shootings" or if you contact management and set it up, I'll be glad to preview and shoot interiors for you. We are in Bangor at least weekly these days.

We have no expectations of it being a quick or easy search, but you just never know. With luck, we will be there for a beautiful Summer at the coast.

Yay! What kind of job is the DH looking for?

Here are some Bangor job listings:

He is in outside sales/route sales. He isn't fussy about product type, although in a rough economy it's always safest to go into food & beverage if possible. People still have to eat.
Thanks for the link!
