Just having a pizza tonight and the discussion always comes up with my wife, what is the best pizza in the county. Every time we vacation in Maine, we seem to end up at this same business. My wife swears by this place and says we don't come close out here in California. Your thoughts will help settle a bet. LOL

I do have a fav in Washington County.
DM me the place, and I'll try to remember when I am in the area to possibly make it a stop. I'm always up for a chance a yummy food.

Well, Sonny's isn't exactly in Kennebec County, it's in Somerset County. But they've got my vote for best pizza in the state.

As for Kennebec, the only pizza place I'm really familiar with is Whippers in Augusta. I believe it's on Bangor Street.

Okay, waterville... next time DH and I decide to head off on our day off.. (with out a plan) I will go there.

What's it like on the inside.. sit down restaurant kind of place?
After traveling..
I enjoy that ... sitting down and being
"taken care of.. just like mom would do." I always gratful for that treatment.

whippers does have good pizza, as does damons on western ave (augusta)

dennis's pizza (formerly joe's pizza) in gardiner (next to the a-1 diner featured on the food network channel) has good pizza also
