Visiting Moosehead Lake in late March. I've read the Northern Lights are most likely to be seen there from December-February. Is there any hope of a glimpse while we're there?

Well, the three factors that play into whether you'll be able to enjoy the aurora or not are: solar activity, local cloud cover, and hours of darkness (nights are longest from Dec-Feb which is why those months are preferable). The only factor that's really predictable is night sky darkness. There are auroral activity forecasters but they're forecasts, not guarantees.

I've only seen the Northern Lights once, in British Columbia's Yoho National Park and they were high overhead, taking up a big part of the sky. If you get lucky and see them, it's something you'll never forget.
Fingers crossed! Either way, we'll be in Maine, so it's all good.
One other predictable thing that might play in to whether you can see the aurora is moonphase. If your trip will occur when the moon is full or close to it, the night sky could be so bright it will wash out the display significantly.
About the same chance as I have of Kaley Cuoco knocking on my door and telling me she wants to have my babies...and my wife agreeing to it.
Well, damn
