I spent time today using ropes and a come-along while I winched my car out from it's parking space. That last storm managed to form ice around each of it's tires, locking it in place very securely.

Which gives me yet another reason why I do not care if my keys are left in the car.

"Settle in time"? What is that?

I suspect that you will be training them.

I fear you may be right, last time I learned a totally unfamiliar software pkg (for the rental management gig) after 6 mo when I ended up having to call tech support I was complaining at the support person that I had never gotten any training, and that I wished my cheapskate boss would allow me the time to go, as they were holding one only a day's drive away, in SC.

the support tech on the other end told me not to bother, that from the questions I had been asking when I called for the past few months it was obvious I knew the software better than their trainers (usually my questions ended up with a "let me talk to the developers and get back to you on that..." response.

Settle in time is that time when you actually get to put stuff AWAY so you don't spend the next few years in the "where did I see the..." mode, and also the time that allows your body to heal up a bit so you can get out of a chair without looking like a decrepit 90 yo in the body of a 50-something. If I knew where I had put my cane... LOL

She was well and at home yesterday, hibernating in the icy weather, so likely she took the chance to get out and about today, as the sun was shining and the ice melting here in Milo.

We got to visit with her a bit yesterday, over cups of coffee and tea. She is as much of a delight in person as she is in text and her DH is a wonderful fellow too.

AND, I'm a big fan of yours! Star is a delightful little firecracker! What a sweet package of dynamite. We enjoyed talking with both she and K. It was sooo nice to see her.
