Holy Organic Farm Fair! My MIL was up this weekend (thursday through this am) and I decided we were going to go to this fair. I had NO IDEA what it was. Here I am, thinking it may end up being a few farm stands and a demonstration or two. HOLY COWS, AND CHICKENS AND BUNNIES AND PRODUCE AND DEMONSTRATIONS AND AND AND .... I am in awe.

We have decided we are not only going to be going again next year, but we have at least 30 or so people who will be crashing at our house to be in the area for next years event. It was AWESOME!

We pulled into the parking field (not lot mind you) and there was an eagle circling closer and closer and closer, just using the warm air. We went on Friday and it was amazing. I love how the vibe is just relaxing, no hustle or bustle. Everyone there was in a good mood, having a good time. Just incredible. Oh, and it is HUGE! We were there for 5 hours and just skimmed through.

I recommend it to everyone!

Yes that happens.

Arrive between 850 and 910, otherwise you can get caught into traffic and paying for parking.

I learned a couple years ago.

Addictive isn't it?

Forest, I was keeping an eye out for you, but didn't get a peek. I must say that I saw more facial hair on Friday then I have ever seen in one place! lol

Yes, a lot of long flowing hair was visible at the fair.

It would appear that I seem to have become 'known' for my beard, though many men wear beards.

Friday and Saturday, I wore an old submarine ballcap. I was stopped a few times by other submariners. Which is nice, on the one hand, to meet other bubbleheads, from various eras.

On Sunday I wore a straw cowboy hat, which along with my bib-overalls was my Farmer's Market image. One of my former customers recognized me, as did two other vendors.

I was surprised as well, when it got warm enough Saturday to take off my long sleeves and just go about in my Dutch Hex Sign . com tshirt, to be recognized not for the hexen, per se, but for the "Words of Wisdom" that I have been sharing each morning for over a year now. They are published in a few places in addition to my web site blog, and sent individually to subscribers and it was a reader on one of the online venues that recognized me.

I am working on having a vendor booth next year...
