I don't think I'd bother, we are on to you.

Maybe we didn't have enough jails to begin with. Maybe federal mandates for housing prisoners have changed.

This statement is exactly what I would consider Trolling to be. A very vague statement that doesn't cite any factual information to support a specific stance and it doesn't allow people to rebut.

Its not a secret! find out what Maine's "State" prison population is. What does it represent as a percentage of our total population? And then do the same for all the other states and see where Maine stands. Or at least compare us to Nh, Ma, VT, RI.

Can you do that and let us know?

There is a lot of talk of Caribou - so here's the assessment for this city.
Caribou, ME, violent crime, on a scale from 1 (low crime) to 10, is 2.
Caribou, ME, property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 10, is 4.

Let's compare that with the city of "Disney World" - Oralndo:
Orlando, FL, violent crime, on a scale from 1 (low crime) to 10, is 8.
Orlando, FL, property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 10, is 8.

Nowhere is perfect - perspective needs to be considered.

What a great site. My little Ohio town ranks 4 on both types of crime ( with a pop. just over 19K), spends about 2K less on students, of course our property values have gone up by over 3%.

While Eastports unemployment rate is higher, their crime is a 1 in both categories and their student-teacher ratio is awesome at 13. Wow, property values have gone up 9.8%.

Yes, isn't it GREAT!

I love it.

Low 'growth', is what we need to keep the sprawling suburbs away.
