I do not ski. I go to Maine all the time. Just never went in the winter. What are some up the things I can do in Jan. along the southern-mid coast? Again, I know all the activities in the summer, just not the winter.

If you visit the Maine coast in the winter you will meet the real people of Maine. There are a lot of indoor activites but very few of the tourist related fluff. Try it and I think you will enjoy.

There are lots of great museums - like the Portland Museum of Art, Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. Even if you never thought you liked museums give them a chance. You never know you may really enjoy it. Also there are lots of things going on at places like Merrill Auditorium etc. Chech out - on line - the Portland Sunday Telegram for things to do. There are an abundance of great restaurants in Portland and along the coast - ie Brunswick

If you head up as far as Camden you could ski at the Snow Bowl!
