Heads up everybody on that line like Forest Beekeeper, Starwalker, MSINA and MaineWriter. This is a heavy and violent storm that I hope just dies before it crosses I-95, but it looks healthy right now and could go right into Canada.

-break-

Rep. Gabrielle Gifford just came into the House to vote on the spending bill. Big round of applause on all sides.

It's been "one of those days" I really can't appreciate a "good lightning storm" this evening and sure as heck don't look forward to another power outage.
Thanks for the warning NMLM.

I can hear the lightning almost constant in my two-way radio, here's to hoping my antenna doesn't get hit- it's almost the tallest thing for nearly a mile around (sticking out of the top of a big ole pine tree).

Here in Hampden we are getting the tail of that storm and some of the thunder and lightning is a little too close for my comfort. Turned off everything except the computer, (to monitor the weather) and the t.v. (hey, it's Shark Week, I can't miss that.)

Went and looked at the radar after one loud crash that scared the garbage out of me and the dogs...to the point they started to fight each other! and see that up north it's gonna be bad.

Stay safe!

It's here. Lots of thunder, lightening and rain.

Best news of the day - Gabby Giffords!

This was a very slow moving storm. It took nearly 5 hours to go from Lincoln to Waite and it had continuous lightning all the way.

I got a kick out of Three Wolves in Snow's dog blaming the other dog for this calamity.

It was pretty bad here even though we weren't supposed to get the brunt of it.

I have photos to share....will put them in the Photos of Maine thread.

I think the dogs have gotten over it although there was a bit of residual blaming going on today...and I hear more thunder...they'll hate each other by the end of the week!
