I took this out in our backyard. There's something about fresh snow in trees - I never get tired of it.

Well, maybe by the end of March I'm tired of it.

Thanks! And after a good snow, not only can the sky be a deep blue, but the air is really clean.

Went to Portland Head Light yesterday morning. Most of the fog had lifted, but it was still kinda dreary.

Portland Light is one of the prettiest lighthouses in the country. Love the way it juts out on that chiseled granite point and those old-timey buildings surrounding it.

Chiles400 - interesting pic, reminds me a little of an Andre Wyeth painting - a little dark and brooding, but good nevertheless.

My wife and I went to the Rockland Breakwater a couple of days ago. We timed our arrival for after high tide, as the tide was 12 feet that morning, and that's enough to wash over the breakwater. It was a chilly gray day, and for most of our visit we had the breakwater to ourselves.

The rock outcrops at Portland Headlight are actually gneiss, a metamorphic rock.
