I just did a week of motorcycle riding in New England and here are a couple pics from your beautiful state.

The first two were some random lake close to Moore Dam. I just entered the state from New Hampshire and came across this lake with a blue sky and a lone cloud hanging down on the water. I thought it was worth a shot. Also saw two fishermen on the water.

The spider web pic was along the bank of this same lake.

Thanks. The cloud on the lake I thought was so impressive looking.

I know this is an older post but wanted to comment on it, several years ago we went sailing on the Schooner Nathanial Bowditch out of Rockland for a 9 day trip, the Capt/Owner is Owen Dorr. One day while sailing in somes sound on the Bowditch he was telling us about his family history in the area and how this mountain was named after someone in his family, I thought it was interesting.

you're right, bigfoot-didn't even notice that reflection. mea culpa

I love hearing local history like that, safecracker. Obviously one of the things you remeber about your vacation, and totally unplanned.

Hi, John-been wondering where you were but then realized it's fall. The season of comfortable temps, lots of color, and, hopefully, lots of camera action!

hope you and Kelly are both doing great.

and I love the different green textures and shades of blue in that shot.

Hi PAhippo

We have been doing lots of hiking and between that, the blog, trying to keep up with the garden, and chores I haven't had the time. We should have a frost soon and that will slow things down. Here is one from a few days ago

Glad you liked the Somes Sound picture safecracker
