Brand new camera (recieved it for my birthday; I'm 30!) and I just HAD to take this shot when I saw it. My new one's a Nikon Coolpix L19. I used digital zoom in this, and apparently DZ has gotten a hell of a lot better since 2004, since the close-ups are a lot less watercolor-y.

One of the highlights of our August stay on Caribou Pond was going over to the coast to see the West Quoddy Head Light. It's been on our list of "must see" lighthouses ever since we began chasing lighthouses on an earlier visit to Maine.
