7th Gen, you caught my butterfly. The little yellow one with the dot! I saw him in the parking field at the organic fair! You should consider publishing these! You have some really magnificent shots.

Default Maine signage

shot these a couple of weeks ago in Brewer. Note, that the photos, AND THE SIGNS, are in the order they were displayed along the road and all within less than a block.

Is "redemption center" the new term for animal rescue groups? And are there really THAT MANY llamas and ostriches in Maine that need to be redeemed?

Slow, but the color is coming. There are many brighter ones on any road we drive down, either to Bangor, Corinth or Dover-Foxcroft.

and out the back door, a week later, we had a misty sunset...

Default making it HOME

One of the first things that goes up on the wall when I settle in, is "Give Us This Day" which I hand-lettered (acrylic and a paintbrush on rice paper... the India ink RAN) in the early 70s.

http://www.ursai.net/blog/GiveUsThisDay1.jpg (broken link)

In a close up version, you can likely make out some of the text, though those words are NOT what you expect -- or expect to see in black letter!

http://www.ursai.net/blog/GiveUsThisDay2.jpg (broken link)
That last line, somewhat hidden by the flowers, reads "Forgive us, O Lord, for calling this stuff BREAD."

The chemicals are many of the ingredients that were in commercially prepared white bread in the 60s and 70s.

And I am done now... (can you tell I just found the cable to download pic from the camera to the computer!

Gorgeous photos Star, tried to rep you but I've got to spread some.

I loved the one of the horse barn. Are you eventually going to put a horse in it?

Your housewarming party sounded like fun too! You'll have to teach me that little window trick. Sounds tricky to me but hell, I'll try anything once.
