I came from the SF Bay Area, moved to Phoenix for 6 years, move to Boise for 2 months, move to Oklahoma City and have been here for one week and now I'm thinking about moving to Augusta ME because it's the only place in Maine I can move to because that is where the VA is at. It's a different world there like going to another planet. Well I'm 63 years old and I can stay in OKC and chase tornados or I can go to Augusta ME and live in an old house which I never did before and get a place with a little land because I have a dog. Going to Maine would be an adventure so why not one last adventure before my time is up. I love greenery and rain but I'm not sure about the snow. Do I need to buy a 4x4 or can I just put chains on my Eclipes which is really low to the gound. Any comments that might help me.
Richard

Augusta isn't bad. There are plenty of Amvets Halls and VFW posts around to meet people. Togus is a very good VA hospital. You'll make friends quickly here. Maine is VERY veteran friendly! Mainers very much respect Veterans! Come live here and you'll see! Don't let the snow bother you someone will shovel you out!
