Very possible. :-)

RTV evangelist was born in Lubbock. Under the abbreviated name of Ken Copeland, he released a minor hit titled "Pledge of Love".
Also as a young boy, Bobby Fuller attended George R. Beane elementary before winding up in El Paso.

There was a band called Rivertrain in the early 2000s. I saw them a couple of times at Bash Riprocks back in the day. I guess they broke up after college. There's no trace of them anymore.

This website is the only proof of their existence I could find. I found their first and second albums at Ralph's a couple of years ago.

Several people played with Buddy Holly. One of these was Larry Welborn.

I spent over an hour on the phone this afternoon with this talented young man. I like his sound a lot.

Best of luck Danny.

As I scrolled...I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Flatland Cavalry. I love those guys! They are coming to Houston soon and I have my tickets.

How about Randall King or Dalton Domino? Both are Lubbock natives that make some great Texas Red Dirt music!
