Yes, Bardstown is a great town. You'll have good people with excellent staple shopping (food, auto, drugs), nice restaurants, good roads, solid quality healthcare (Flaget Memorial is a very good hospital), and yet you'll be "in-range" to Louisville for air transportation, mall shopping, and so much more.

You mentioned in your post here "Bardstown KY". This is the Louisville Forum. You need to be in the Kentucky one or maybe you meant "Bardstown Road"~?

If you're not commuting to work in Louisville I'd call Bardstown one of the best small towns in the state. Very clean with a quaint downtown that feels historic.

As far as I am concerned, you posted correctly in the Louisville forum. Bardstown is a thriving part of the Louisville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Maybe I am mistaken, but the admonition that you were wrong is ticky-tacky.

W

Welcome. Bardstown KY is absolutely part of Louisville as it is a bedroom community to the city that is also its own self contained small town. Please feel free to post here any time and represent the far SE exurbs of the Louisville metro area!
