Good news for Louisiana schools. A national report card on education released by Education Week Magazine, has given Louisiana a much improved grade for 2010. The state ranking was boosted from 35th last year to 27th this year. While there is alot of work still to be done, Louisiana has come along way in improving the performance of its students. Well that is good news. Any improvement is good news. Doesn't sound like we are that bad, although I agree that there are some areas which there is much work to be done.

What alot of people don't realize is that even though many cities and parishes have horrible school systems, there are just as many that have decent or great school systems.
