With the pandemic does burbank airport still have plans for a new terminal?? Burbank airport is run down and antiquated. Once a month I fly from seattle to burbank to visit my parents in Encino.

The food service at burbank airport is lousy and way overpriced.

Also at burbank airport you board the plane from
Airs tairs instead of an indoor jet way.

Hopefully southwest airlines will re institute its pre covid schedule soon.

Also deltas non stop service from burbank to Atlanta has been temporarily suspended due to covid.

Jetblue left burbank airport until June 2021.

I used to fly southwest airlines from seattle to burbank before the covid pandemic.

Now with southwests limited schedule I fly Alaska from seattle to burbank.

In terms of the food concessions at burbank airport they charge rediculious prices like $6 for a 20 once bottle of pepsi. They sell a brand of coffee at burbank airport called Jones coffee and they charge $7 for a plain large cup of hot coffee. Starbucks charges half of that.

A burger and fries at burbank airport is $25.

Hopefully if a new terminal at burbank airport gets built it will be more modern and have better food options??

Hope not. It's the most convenient thing ever invented in So Cal transport history. Never have to taxi around the airport, in fact the plane practically brakes off the runway right into the gate and the single story terminal is easy to get around. From plane to curb in less than 5 minutes, can't beat it.

Burbank airport is one of LAs best kept secrets. I hope they keep Burbank airport easy to use.

I haven't been there since last Christmas but then all the public parking lots were closed. If that is permanent that will make the airport a whole lot less convenient. The rather small lots inside the airport started at $23 a day and at Christmas would be full days before Christmas. After always paying $10 or $12 a day and I needed to park and get in. I found a small private lot a 1/4 mile walk and got the last spot.
I'm taking Uber from now on.
