I’ve been trying to find a place before I begin my move May 1st but it seems like every time I find somewhere I think I should sign a lease with, I find out something bad about it. This forum has become the first place I come to for research because who knows it better than a sampling of people who live there? Anyway, if anyone is familiar with the area, could you tell me how these intersections are? Silver Lake: Westerly Ter (near Sunset/Silver Lake blvd intersection) Silver Lake: Golden Gate Ave (near Sunset Blvd) Los Feliz: Los Feliz Blvd (2 blocks west of Riverside Dr) Silver Lake: Park View St (between Beverly & Temple) Los Feliz: Near Franklin & Kenmore Silver Lake: Near Santa Monica & Hoover

To add to LizzyNola's description of the Los Feliz address, you are also very close to the 5 freeway there, which definitely has its good and bad points.

Unfortunately, a LOT of traffic because Los Feliz is the main thoroughfare. And there are lots of attractions in the Park (the Zoo, the Greek Theatre, the Observatory, etc.) Silver Lake: Park View St (between Beverly & Temple) Very harsh neighborhood. I wouldn't suggest it unless you don't mind REALLY rough. Very high immigrant popluation; however, a couple of blocks from Rampart police station. There is a whole thread on Rampart. Los Feliz: Near Franklin & Kenmore Somewhat nice area. Near Scientology headquarters, Hollywood Kaiser and Children's Hospital. The Franklin side is nice but get iffy as you head South. Silver Lake: Near Santa Monica & Hoover same as Park View.
